Through the Mirror Lies (2014)

These self-portraits explore the challenge and the obsession of wanting to see my true self in mirror reflections. The portrait was first drawn by tracing my face on a sheet of acetate placed directly on the mirror surface, with both eyes open. The distortions this created symbolise and expose the limitation of the eyes and mind as tools to understand the self and the world.
Through the Mirror Lies is one of the Two-Way Mirror Projects.
